Youth Firearm Safety

THIS COURSE IS FREE. The $10 is a DEPOSIT which you will get back when you attend the class.

Our goal in this class is to instill safe and responsible mindset above all else. This will translate into respect for the firearm (as familiarity with a firearm increases, respect replaces fear). 

We start with about 10-15 minutes with a safety discussion about firearms at tthe range and what to do if encountered elsewhere. 

After that we do the range portion of the class, where we will cover basic shooting fundamentals, including grip, sight alignment and picture, trigger control, hold control, and more. If these terms are new to you, don’t worry, they are not complicated and will be taught in class at a level the youth can understand.

This class is well suited for ages 6 - 13 years old. If the youth is on the younger side, please ensure he/she is mature enough to respect the firearm and view it as "not a toy".

This session is one hour.

We will provide safety glasses and ear protection, ammunition, targets, and .22LR rifles to use. You just need to show up with a safety mindset, enough maturity to respect the firearm, and willingness to learn.

Location: Private range, Brighton MI.

You will get an Intro Pack as an email after registering (give us a day).

(For the deposit, we had a number of no-call no-shows because it's a free event, taking away class space from others. So the deposit is now a thing. Please respect our time, or buy us lunch!)
